The 1968 Mercury Cougar was a light weight car and fast when fitted with the 302. Then Mecury saw fit to stuff in a 427 Ford Big Block with 390 de-tuned horspower, which turned this kitty into one very fast and very rare predator! The Blueprint Series print tells the story.
The 1969 and 1970 Boss 429 Mustang with it's aluminum "HEMI" head motor was also known as the "Shotgun" engine. The Boss 429 motor was built for NASCAR racing and was under rated at 375 horsepower, Hot Rod magazine in a '69 road test, thought the motor closer to 500 horses.
